These beautiful ’inban’ printed porcelain tea/sake cups are from the late Meiji era (around 1900-1910). In this period of the 'inban' product, they used copper instead of paper for printing patterns for more detailed and clear print on the pieces.
The combination of geometric and realistic flower patterns creates a very unique yet sophisticated impression. One of their patterns looks more blurry than the other, but that is part of the characteristic of 'inban' printing.
Please note that there are well-done retouches on very subtle chips at the edge by the former owner (look at the zoomed up photos). They are no problem at all for daily use.
