This vintage carafe is a rare fusion of industrial glasswork and traditional craftsmanship. Made of rich green glass, the body is elegantly wrapped in handwoven rattan, creating a striking contrast between the organic and the manufactured. This unique design evokes a sense of timeless artistry, blending functional utility with a distinctly artisanal touch.

The front of the glass is hand-painted in white with the phrase “不老長生”, meaning “immortality and longevity,” adding a cultural depth to the piece. The bottom bears the mark "Kamotsuru",  renowned sake brewery established in Hiroshima over 150 years ago. It is believed that this bottle was originally produced for overseas export, making it a rare historical artifact.

This Japandi-style carafe can be displayed as a decorative accent, used as a sake or wine vessel, or repurposed as a vase for dried flowers. Whether admired for its historical significance or aesthetic appeal, it brings an air of rustic elegance to any interior.

This sake bottle has the name of Kamotsuru, a sake brewery in Hiroshima established 150 years ago.
This flower vase is made by weaving willow baskets to exactly match the shape of the glass to create the form, a technique that can now only be produced by skilled craftsmen.
