I heard about a restaurant that sells a special udon noodles dish since the Meiji era (around 1900) so I visited last year. Because I remember the taste was delicious, so I went there again.
"Tengu" is located in Kawaramachi Aragamiguchi and offers udon noodles and rice bowls. "Shimo-furi Udon" is the one I am looking for.
This is the Nabeyaki udon and frosted udon noodles which comes with beef, shrimp tempura, eggs and soup on the top. It was hot and steamy even while eating and made me warm and full. I enjoyed it very much. Recommend as the best Udon restaurant in Kyoto.
